JANUARY 2012

January 29, 2012 (Sunday Special Ride)

A small group of us attended the Motorcycle Expo Bike Builders Invitational held at QS&L. The weather was fantastic which drew out the people. Parking was at a premium around the Lube property and across the street. There were many vendors, a large bike show and of course a tent full of the bike builders works. After a few beers and some Atomic Wings we headed home. Hugs. T.

January 28, 2012 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

After the breakfast ride a group of us rode to Dade City to attend the annual Kumquat Festival. The weather was great. It seemed like the Festival was twice the size it was in the past by the number of City streets that were closed and being used for it. As far as the number of people there were thousands. Til next time.

January 26, 2012 (Thursday Monthly Dinner Ride)

50+ members and guests attended the 2012/2013 Officer Installation Dinner held at Papas Ranch in Clearwater. It was a nice night weather wise. We ate outside on the porch area. Prices were right, service was great, and the food was excellent. It was nice to see so many of us out! See everyone again soon I hope. Ride safe and hugs T.

January 21, 2012 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

19 members met at CMS, on what appeared to be a great day in the making, for the breakfast ride. There were some members there that we haven't seen for a while, Gary, Bobby and Barby, and Breen, welcome back. Because we were a large group, it was decided to call The Broken Yolk in Holiday to see if the back room was available, it was. We took the back way up and found everything ready for us when we arrived. As always the food was good, with plenty of it, the service was hilarious and the prices right. After we ate, most of us took rides as it had become a tee-shirt riding day. Til next time.

January 15, 2012 (Sunday Chapter Ride)

9 members and guests met at Burger King. It was cold but by the time we left we were able to shed a layer. Then by the time we got to Red's in Hernando it was a lovely day. We rode to eat today because of people needing to get home for sports or wives. Crazy me I've been around as long as some wives and I went along on the ride. Anyhow, we all had really good food at reasonable prices then a nice ride home. See you all at the installation dinner. HUGS and Be Safe T.

January 14, 2012 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

It was 30 degrees when we left the mountain village of Spring Hill at 7:45am for the breakfast ride. It seemed colder in the CMS lot then on the road getting there. We stood around talking for a while, then headed out to the predetermined location to eat. The reason the location was predetermined was it was a half mile from the bank and our new officers could get Chapter business done after breakfast. As always the Country Harvest team seated us immediately and the steak and 3 eggs with home fries and toast for $5.99 was great. Til next time.

January 7, 2012 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

15 members and guests met at CMS for the 1st breakfast ride of 2012. It was a warm, but cloudy morning with a 10% chance of liquid sunshine. After the morning tire kicking, the group decided on another new spot, Kimmy D's on 49th St. in Clearwater. We called to check the availability of seating and were told come-on down. We arrived to find our table and booths ready for us. The service, prices, quality and quantity of food, were all great. Many of the restaurants we visit should take a lesson from this one. After we finished, the clouds were gone and the sun was out so we hung around the parking lot talking for a while. Were your ears burning? Til next time.

January 1, 2012 (Sunday Chapter Ride)

17 members and guests went to the Harbor Lights Restaurant and Lounge in lovely Lake Panasoffkee Fl.The Tilleys joined us even though he is still grounded by his Dr. Jim and Odie met us at the restaurant. The ride was nice and considering it is January the weather was beautiful!!! I don't need to say the food was wonderful because everyone that's ever ridden with us knows that. See you next time Hugs and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! T.
