FEBRUARY 2012

February 25, 2012 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

18 members and guests met at CMS for the weekly breakfast ride. We went to Diner Sixty West, in Clearwater. It was a tiny bit cool. Jimmy B. came on his new bike a 2012 Limited, blue and silver. Uncle Joe did not come. I had my camera to show everyone pictures of my son because I was selling his candy. Thanks to all who bought. Therefore, I ended up taking some pictures. Breakfast was ok. the waitress needed some help and did not get it. She tried though. It is not easy to wait on a large group. For those of you who ride tomm. be safe hugs from T.

February 23, 2012 (Monthly Dinner Ride)

18 members and guests attended the Chapter dinner ride at Duke's American Grill and Sports Brewery. Dinner was good. They had a specials board that was very nice. Seafood, pot roast, meatloaf, or beef tips Marcela. All priced nice and tasting good. Breen and Penny came on the bike! Barb and Paul got to have date night as the little ones stayed home with Aunt Kathy. Odie and Jim, and the Bothwicks were there also. Ron DiMento, the Edelmanns, Jim and Judy, Tommy Sing, and some Edelmann guests made the long trip up 19. It was a very nice night. Some of you who did not attend were missed. Hugs T.

February 18, 2012 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

16 members and guests met at CMS on this warm, but somewhat foggy morning for the weekly breakfast ride. During the morning tire kicking session the group decided on the Fireplace Family Restaurant in Largo. Bobby led us on a little ride to get there. When we arrived everything was ready for us. Our orders were taken and served quickly, the food was good and priced right. After we finished eating everyone went their own way to do whatever they needed to do. Til next time.

February 11 and 12, 2012 (Saturday and Sunday Special Ride)

Bruce, Teresa and Breen exited Hernando county at 7:30 am on Sat. to meet up with those attending the overnighter at Punta Gorda. We met up with the Bakers, Domizianos, Begerows, and Scott Radtke at QS&L in Pinellas Park. This is were I noted the bar did not open special for us to serve hot chocolate with blackberry brandy or hot toddies or even to let us wiz. I managed to hold it all the way to Muscle Car City. This is where we met up with Tricky Dick also Barb's sister and brother-in-law. We spent enjoyable hours in the late morning and early afternoon, looking at Corvettes, Camaros, GTOs and Chevys. We ate lunch at the museum in the 50's style diner. Then we looked at more Chevys. There was a huge gift shop, along with a lot of other cool antique things having to do with cars. Scott and Tricky left us. The Hartjens had a idea about eating dinner on the water. Scott just planned to look around and ride, that's what he did. The rest of us went to the Sleep Inn Port Charlotte. Peter and Barb visited her Sis then rested a while. The rest of us settled in and met in the Baker's room to B.S. Were your ears burning??? We decided to go to the Captain and the Cowboy for dinner Peter and Barb were back with us by now. Barb gets the die hard biker lady award. While the rest of us girls rode in Marilu's car to the restaurant, she got on the bike and rode with Peter!!!! IN THE COLD!!!!!! By that time it was around 50 degrees and breezy. You go Barb!!!!! At the restaurant there were Blue Knights from that area who belonged to Chapter 16. They appeared to be having dinner with their families. We also met a Red Knight in the parking lot of the hotel. At dinner all the food was great. They did a very fine job and prices were good for what we had. Peter B's prime rib was huge, it looked so good and he let me have a bite, IT WAS! I don't think one of us had a bitch about dinner. We then went back to the Baker's for more hospitality. We all slept well and awoke to freezing temps (37 degrees). We fueled up ourselves and the bikes. The hotel had a very nice complementary breakfast, they had eggs, sausage, bread items, cereal, muffins, fresh fruits, yogurt, waffles, and beverages. We all bundled up and rode through the country to get home with one stop for coffee in, and piss out. Thank you Peter B. for leading the nice ride home. The rest of you should come to the next overnighter it was good fun. Thanks to the Baker's for allowing us to invade their room and to Bruce and Bobby for organizing the thing. See you all next time Hugs and be safe T .

February 4, 2012 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

23 members and guests met at CMS on this beautiful Fl winter morning for the breakfast ride. We again tried a new place in Madeira Beach, Lisa's Cafe. We called Lisa told us it would be tight but she could do it. We took about 45 minutes to get there, the parking lot was small but we were able to get the 18 bikes in with Lisa's help. We sat outside because it was such a nice day. With 23 people arriving at the same time, service was a little slow getting started, but it caught up with itself before too long. Although a little pricy, the food portions and quality was great. After breakfast we hung around in the parking lot and talked. then those of us from the hills of Hernando took the beach route home. Til next time.
