November 26, 2011 Saturday Breakfast Ride
7 members were at CMS when we arrived. After the morning tire kicking and constitutionals, Joe E. suggested the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill in Largo, so we all would have a good dose of carbs and cholesterol. We went by way of County Rd. 1 to Ulmerton. The restaurant had an omelet cook and as always a large variety of food to chose from (although some of it seemed to be from yesterday). After breakfast a group of us went to Barney's in St. Pete to check out some new hot rods. Til next time.
November 26, 2011 Saturday Breakfast Ride
7 members were at CMS when we arrived. November 12, 2011 Saturday Breakfast Ride
12 members attended the weekly Saturday breakfast ride, which went to Smitty's Restaurant in Clearwater. The ride to the restaurant, over the Bayside Bridge was beautiful this morning (the bay flat, the sky clear, and the temperature perfect). The restaurant had our table ready, but from that point on the service was poor, a long wait for coffee, a long time taking orders, and then the orders arriving all mixed up. However once the orders were straight the food was excellent and the prices were great. After breakfast a number of us hung around the parking lot, talking about those that were not there. November 6, 2011 Sunday Chapter Ride
12 members and 1 guest met at the BK for the Chapter Sunday ride. It was decided to go to Crystal River and Cracker's Bar, Grill & Tiki for some good seafood on Kings Bay. We took about a 90 mile country road ride through Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties and reached the restaurant at 12:15pm. Our table was waiting and our orders were taken immediately. As always the food, portions, prices, and service were all good. After lunch we all headed to our home 20's. Til next time.
November 5, 2011 Saturday BK-FL XV Pig Roast
9 members attended BK-FL XV's pig roast in NPR. For a new event it was excellent, plenty of food and drink with snacks to fill in, lots of door prizes and raffles, also a very large 50/50 ($127 to the winner) which was won by our own Joe E. The event was really fun for the writer because he got to see friends he hasn't seen in almost forever. Til next time.
November 5, 2011 Saturday Breakfast Ride
10 members met at CMS on this cool, clear fall morning for the breakfast ride. After the morning tire kicking it was decided to stay close, because of the members that were going to BK-FL XV's pig roast, so the Paradise Restaurant in Safety Harbor was picked. As always the food, portions, prices, service, and camaraderie were all good. Til next time.
