MARCH CRUISING REPORTS
March 25th 2010 (Thursday Dinner Ride)
22 members and 2 guests attended the dinner ride tonight at Gennaro's. We all had a great dinner. There was much socialization. For those of you that haven't been you are missing some of the best Italian food around. We all ate different things, as the menu has pizza, salads, sandwiches, and dinners. My kids call the owner Joe the God of Pizza. It was raining. The sky opened the first time while we were eating. The second time while we were going home. We all got home safely. B has me sitting here naked drying so this ones got to be short. Till next time T.
March 20, 2010 Saturday through March 21, 2010 Sunday
15 members and 1 guest took part in BK-FL XXIX's Pirate Adventure weekend at Orlando. B and I boarded our olive pearl and black Harley at 7:40am. We went to the south side of St. Pete. Bruce did the Grand Dad thing, his Ryan was in the play-offs with basketball. They played hard and did well. We have not heard about the championship game today. We went from south St. Pete to Orlando. Some folks went to breakfast then went to run a errand or two then came to Orlando. While still others just hung out and went from home to Orlando.
We found everyone in Wayne and Ronnie's room. Our rooms were not ready yet. They let us all in for a hospitality time. They really made everyone feel at home. Thanks for your welcoming and friendly attitude. It was really groovy to get to finally meet Kim, the wife of Jim B. Some of us went outside after about two hours. Others of us decided eating would be good. Someone else ordered pizza but didn't grab a slice quickly enough and it was gone. B and I, along with Joe E., Marie, Patti with her Mom, our Orlando hosts and some of their friends went to T.G.I.F Fridays for lunch. Bruce wanted the free stuff. Guess what there was none. Except our Uncle Joe got crayons and a puzzle page for free. Bruce couldn't get me to eat paper and crayons for lunch though. We had some nice sliders and fries. Patti had a eye watering experience with wings and her Mom. We all called Roland to say hi, you're missing a good time. He didn't find it humorous. Is he getting cranky like somebody else we love? After lunch we all walked back to find hospitality bursting over by the pool. Jamie and Cory were there. They were enjoying some grown up time away from the baby. We all took in the fresh air and sunshine, after the last few months it felt great. We then got ready for our pirate show. We once again walked over. Our host chapter was exercising some good judgment. They had our nice and comfortable hotel in walking distance of the show, and restaurants. As most of us drink and it was the beginning of spring break and in Orlando. Great planning guys! During our walk, a person who has been seen by many being led around by the belt loops of her jeans discovered a new use for the party police bucket hats. They can be used to conceal a can. It was a hat of can of beer. I was drinking my hat. Bruce said I could get told about an open container. Are there laws against drinking your hat? At the show Jim B, Cory, and Bruce were audience volunteers. They danced in a chorus line fashion then they got shown to a waiting area. The guy who was going to bring them a drink coupon and their next part in the show still hasn't gotten back to them. The show was amazing it had gymnastics and dance and circus like trapeze like stuff. It invited the children in the audience to take part. The food reminded me of airline food. Like back in the 70's and 80's. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. The servers did wonderful. When the show was over, one of our ladies of a Knight got her face painted. It really looked good. After the walk back we had more hospitality time. There was a 50/50, door prizes, Joe E. received a plaque for the funniest police story, and B received the plaque for the farthest distance traveled, Wayne and Ronnie gave our hosts a framed certificate of appreciation. Then ladies from a certain chapter were heard laughing in the hospitality area, after their guys went to bed. Yucky weather was coming fast Sunday morning. Many people got up and left. We ate our muffins and coffee. We got back to Pinellas Park and off the bike at Joe E.'s in time to watch the skies open up. Then the Edelmanns and B and T went to Quaker Steak and Lube for the Credit Union Cruise For Kids. It was rained out! We had to eat though because Blue Knights can't leave wings and beer and fried foods alone. After lunch and the rain ceasing we boarded the bugar green and black Harley and rode home. Phone calls got made everyone got home safe. Till next time Hugs and Cheers! T.
March 19th 2010 (Friday Special Event)
8 members met at the England Brothers Bandshell in Pinellas Park for Chili Blaze held by the PPFD and benefiting MDA. Gary, Don, Joe E., Marie, and B and I met each other in the get your bracelet line. We then went about the important business of eating chili and drinking beer. Some chose soda. It was a nice spring evening. However, when it got to be about 9pm the people who came in shorts and summer tops where freezing. We all saw sweetie pooh and Doris. They found beer and were looking for wine. We enjoyed looking at the booths while the guys finished testing chili. We got back together and waited for the fireworks and listened to music until it was cold and we were tired then we left. After all we needed to conserve our energy for our trip to Orlando. Hugs till we ride again. T
March 13th 2010 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)
It was a beautiful morning in the hills when we left to meet the 13 other members at CMS for the weekly breakfast ride. Rick Rutel was there. It was nice seeing him. Tom and Charley from New York also joined us. We went to LIL' BIT KUNTRY, after some confusion over the fact it isn't directly on the corner. It was so confusing that one rider never did find it. We all got seated and coffee and food orders were taken quickly. We enjoyed talking about those of you that had burning ears then our food came. We had our last breakfast with Brenda Thistle from Canada. Hope her travels are safe and we look forward to seeing her on her next trip. After breakfast some folks went to Honda. Joe E., Vic, B., T., and Ron D. all headed to Jim's HD. Our dog Brandy got a little rubber squeaky black motorcycle boot to try and rip up. She still hasn't got the squeaker out twenty four hours later. After Harley, B. and I went to watch the sun set and have dinner. It was a nice day! Some of you were missed a lot. See you all next weekend in Orlando! Hugs and best wishes T..
