CRUISING REPORT JUNE 2010

June 27, 2010 (Sunday Chapter Ride)

19 members attended the Chapter Sunday ride on this hot, humid day. The ride ended at Ron and Rosalie's home for a great bbq lunch. There were burgers, dogs, sausage (hot & sweet)with peppers and onions, homemade potato and macaroni salad, chips, pepperoni, cheese, pies, cakes, and drinks. Everyone had a good time filling their faces and socializing. Til next time--

June 26, 2010 (Saturday Guns and Roses BBQ)

part 2, after the ride to Crystal River HD 8 members attended the Guns and Hoses Barbeque at the Hernando County Fairgrounds. It was hotter than most prefer. The cause was a good one though. For a modest ticket purchased at he door we received a really good BBQ lunch and entry into the drawing for the 2 42" tv's. Joe and Roland and I would have enjoyed a beer but it was a family event. We must keep Frank Loreto and his family in thoughts and prayers. Remember to hug those you love. God only knows when that shit could hit home. Love you all T

June 26, 2010 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

13 members and 1 guest met at CMS for the Saturday breakfast ride. After the morning tire kicking session it was decided to go north to New Port Richey and the Windmeal Inn on SR54. It was already a hot morning, but the ride north was fairly cool. As usual the Windmeal was great, food, service, and price. After breakfast the group broke up, some going home, some going somewhere to do something, and a group riding to Crystal River HD to pass a few hours before going out to Brooksville for the Guns and Hoses Barbeque Benefit for HCSO Sgt. Frank Loreto at the Fairgrounds. Til later---

June 24, 2010 (Chapter Dinner Ride)

14 members attended the dinner ride to Pappas Ranch in Odessa. In between the foreplay I will attempt to tell you about dinner! We all were happy with our dinner. The prices were good and the service was excellent! They had us seated at one huge table. Mike and his wife Tina joined us, she has been busy with her shop. We are all so happy it is working out for her. All the work must be agreeing with her. As,it looks like she is slimming down a bit. You go girl! All our regulars were there. We missed Peter D. he had international stuff to do. Roland had a Ohio Blue Knight with him. It was a good time. Now to go have a good time.

June 19, 2010 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

It was a nice cool morning in Spring Hill, but the thunder heads were on the horizon so we opted to take the alternate transportation for the breakfast ride. There were 11 other members and 1 guest at the meeting place when we arrived. We were joined by some friends of Roland from an Ohio chapter. We went to Country Harvest Restaurant. It was great as usual and prices were wonderful. I got steak and eggs. Their portions are so large, my son had steak and potatoes when I got home. A few of us went to Jim's after. We didn't realize we were going until we got there and saw each other. I found a sale going on and felt the need to get a pair of strappie black leather sandals with heels and a pair of jeans. They have really cool embroidery on the ass pockets. My Brucie made a great choice it was raining in New Port Richey, Hudson, and Spring Hill. We would have gotten wet! We found a really cool fish market in New Port Richey on our way home from the tent sale at Gulf Coast HD. They have groovy crab cakes, Cedar Key Clams, and lots of other good stuff. We got home from breakfast in time to go to Publix for side dishes and to make dinner. Hope to see you all at the dinner ride on Thursday and at the chapter stuff over the weekend till then stay cool and hydrated and hug your honey. Happy Fathers Day to all our fathers ! Love T

June 12, 2010 (Saturday Sgt Frank Lareto Fun Ride)

7 members attended the Sgt. Frank Loreto Fun Ride sponsored by the HCSO. The 167 bikes on the ride left from the SO in Brooksville and covered about 54 miles of Hernando and Pasco Counties making stops at the Brooksville fire station and the Pasco County jail for prize tickets to be added to the tickets received at the start and end of the ride which was Adventure Cycle Center on SR50. There was plenty of food, prepared by Spring Hill Fire Rescue, and soft drinks for everyone. Rebound did a fantastic job supplying the music for the event. It was a fun day, but It would have been nice for a few more of our members to have participated so we could have looked as good as the 37 Road Dogs did riding as a group. Til next time---------------------------

June 6, 2010 (Sunday Bikers n Boobs)

9 members rode the Bikers n Boobs poker run on this very hot humid day (heat index 106). A large number of Chapter members had volunteered to work at this very worthwhile event (although it was difficult to see just how many as they were disguised in BRA t-shirts and not in Blue Knights Colors). The ride started at QS&L, was about 40 miles and covered a good part of the beach area, then through some of the inland towns and cities, then back to QS&L for the festivities. It was a fun day for those of us that rode and a hot day for those that worked. Til next time----

June 5, 2010 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)

11 members met at CMS on what was already a hot humid morning for the breakfast ride. After the parking lot socializing the discussion began about where to go for food. It went back and forth between steak and eggs and Saturday morning specials, the specials won and off to Farmer Boy we went. It was a short ride down US19 to Drew St. and the restaurant. We were seated right away and beverage orders taken. The restaurant has about 8 good specials (really cheap). It took some time for the food orders to be taken, but the meals were delivered quickly and the food was good. After we ate the checks came and most of them were wrong because the owner rang everything up and well, you know. I believe everyone left from the restaurant for home and the ac, because tomorrow is Bikers n Boobs where we will either be working or riding. Til next time---
