JULY 2010
July 30, 2010 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)
The temperature readout on the tower in Holiday was showing 93 degrees at 8:30am when we passed it to meet 5 more members at CMS for the breakfast ride. We went to Lenny's. A few of the guys shot paper balls at my shirt. None went down in. Their aim was off, The balloon guy gave me a balloon. It looked like a blown up condom. Our food came in a timely fashion as did plenty of water and coffee. The danish there is always yummy. All our breakfasts were good. I hope everyone got home with out melting. See you Tues. if your back, if not Travel Safe, Hugs to you all. T
July 24, 2010 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)
Well another big turnout for the Saturday breakfast ride, 4 members met at CMS at 9am. There were a few who wanted steak and eggs so we went to the Tin Can Cafe'. Service was good, food was good, and prices right. Bruce and I were joined by Perry and Mike Branam who seems to be making a speedy recovery. After breakfast Bruce and I went for a nice ride out the Causeway to Dunedin Park, along the coast to Howard Park and Tarpon Springs and along the Anclote River down through the bayou, also along the coast of Hernando County. Fl is a really pretty place to live... Hope to see you all on 08-03 when we visit Sarasota, if not before then. Hugs and safe travels. T
July 22, 2010 (Thursday Chapter Dinner Ride)
7 members met at the German Bistro on S. MacDill Ave. in Tampa for the monthly Chapter dinner ride. From what I'm told everyone enjoyed themselves. Til next time-
July 17, 2010 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)
Only 4 members met at CMS for the breakfast ride this morning. Dave Keefe, Ron DiMento, Bruce and I went to Lenny's. We all were pleased with our food. Prices were reasonable. We enjoyed talking about everyone (were your ears burning?). Bruce wanted to put some miles on his bike for M.V.P. things at Harley so he and I went on a 4 hour 170 mile ride all around St. Pete, Tampa, and Clearwater. It was very hot out today. Other than feeling like I was just pulled out of a roaster when we got home it was a very nice ride. Hope all of you are having safe travels. We liked the photos of the corn palace Jimmy, Joe and Marie sent back. See you all soon and have fun.....Hugs till next time. T
July 10, 2010 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)
15 members met at CMS on this HOT STICKY morning for the breakfast ride. It was a nice ride from Hernando County this morning. As I sat on the back of the bike I envisioned all the domestic type things I could do upon returning home this afternoon. Before we left CMS lot at 9:20am. it was already to hot to want to have a oven on. We went to Ted's luncheonette. Breakfast there is always very good. After breakfast some of the members went to an event at Big Belly Burgers of Brandon. Those of us who live in Spring Hill came home straight away by following the coast. It was a very hot but pretty ride. Now all those domestic type chores will have to wait because I'm parched. We must keep Mike Branam and little Nicole Caamano in our prayers as they recuperate. Till next time T.....
July 3, 2010 (Saturday Breakfast Ride)
15 Chapter XVII members and 6 Chapter XXIX met at Pop and Sons Diner for breakfast and then rode to Lutz to attend the service at Idlewild Baptist Church for TPD officers Jeff Kocab and David Curtis killed in the line of duty this week. I don't think I need to say anything additional. Til next time--
