November 21, 2009 Saturday -  12 members and 1 guest met at Old Town HD in Brandon to participate in the HOG Chapter's poker run/walk to benefit Paws for Patriots. It was a very nice day! We even got to see Margie and Eli. She was there working at the Ladies Hog Chapter table. They had cook books with proceeds going back to the cause. It has recipes for dog cookies as well as favorite biker recipes. My grumpy man saw me getting wheat flour and wheat germ and strained beef in the baby food isle and got very frightened at what I was planning to make for dinner tonight. We ate lunch at the Old Town Harley BBQ and Bar. After lunch everyone went their own way. It's sad that more members could not have turned out it was a relaxing and enjoyable day. We need to remember Roland and Patty now. He is in Ohio. Here's wishing safe travel and not to much turmoil as the family tries to work together to tie up the estate. This is never a easy thing. Hope to see you all soon! Hugs and much HOLIDAY CHEER T..

November 14, 2009 Saturday -  7 members met at CMS this morning for the weekly breakfast ride, a small number due mostly to members illing, working, and Cory's Bash at the Ranch. It is always a lovely day when a flannel shirt and hiking boots are the appropriate attire. The weather was glorious. While at CMS I found myself on the phone orchestrating my daughter and fathers day and my sons carpool arrangements, for little league they are in the play offs! (Unlike the last outdoor bash my little man stayed far far away. No more flying over fires for Ian.) Breakfast was at Lil Bit Kuntry. No I didn't drink to much that's how they spell it. Breakfast was good and we had good company, Rick Robbins, Joe E., Tony, and Pete and Sondra. After breakfast others went to do various things. Bruce and I went to Cory's. We were greeted by our Cory and his Jamie and little Cydney. I'm sorry for misspelling it. They are such a cute couple plus 1. Cory looks like the whole baby thing has come to him very easily. (Let's hear it for GOOD GUYS). The land was also great as was the house. Cory and Jimmy and the two Moms.(Cory's mom and Jamie's Mom) Worked all day tirelessly being super hosts, and hostesses. All the older guys noticed how Cory could spend so much time playing with his meat and still have the stamina to go for private walks with his sweetie! Jimmy and Cory introduced the group of us to a game called ladder ball. One team gets blue balls and the other team gets sunburned balls then you have to toss the balls at a ladder made of pc pipe. I am dangerous, when I tossed the pair of balls the guys said I could use they went high in the air and got stuck in the tree. There we were, all looking up in the tree that had blue balls dangling from it when D.D. got the resident hoe and Cheryl found it very exciting to watch Dennis work the hoe. Before long the blue balls fell on the ground with a thud. After visiting and playing and drinking Cory started pulling his meat and took it in the house. We all followed to help out in anyway we could. Cheryl and Patty brought potatoes and the moms had side dishes it was amazing. After dinner we sat around a fire so skillfully kept going by Jimmy. Thanks to Don, Jimmy and Cory for getting the wood. They had really good wood. It inspired Cheryl to do the dance of the marshmallows. Roland tried to imitate however he was not graceful. His marshmallow got burned and he ate the black and then roasted it more. The goddess of the marshmallows was dismayed. For more you will have to ask Patty or Cheryl because we had to head out. Those of us that were there had a great time, those of you that missed it, missed it! Hugs and kisses till next time. T

November 8, 2009 Sunday -  4 members met in Tarpon Springs for the annual Cops and Kids Toy Ride. TSPD did an excellent job of escorting the group of 300+ motorcycles through the parks and the streets of the city. Captain Jack's, the end up site, was a great place, good food, cold beer and a whole lot of fun. We had a great time, Joe I. won about 10 door prizes including a 2 night stay with all expenses paid in Tarpon Springs. It's too bad the rest of you missed it. Til next time---

November 7, 2009 Saturday -  it was a fantastic morning to ride, as I passed the Holiday Tower and looked at the temperature it was 67, yes I said 67 not 87 as it has been for months when I passed it. This must have been the reason that 17 other members met at CMS for the breakfast ride. After the morning tire kicking session we made the decision to go to NPR to the Windmeal Inn again. We were there just last month and it was so good we wanted to go back. Again we were not disappointed, the food, the service, the prices, all great. After we ate everyone split into smaller groups and did something, I came back to Spring Hill picked up T and we went to Crystal River HD's 9th anniversary party and then took a ride through the country. Til next time---

November 1, 2009 Sunday -  14 members and 2 guests met at the BK on Dale Mabry for the Chapter ride to the Harbor Lights Restaurant at Lake Panasoffkee. The service at Burger King sucked as usual. Bruce led and Pete was our tail. We went on a nice ride as far as out side of Brooksville. Patty's friend's bike wanted to go one way and she wanted to go another. She may only have minor injuries, her bike is still good just a few scratches. We hope she's back on it and having fun in no time. After the ambulance left some of us went to Bayport Inn for lunch. It was a good day to sit out by the gulf, margaritas were 2 for 1 and the Bud light was cold and cheap. See you all at breakfast or the meeting. Love and Hugs. T-
