February 25, 2010 Thursday - 25 members of the BK-FL XVII car, truck and motorcycle club met at Wildwood Bbq & Burger on St. Pete Beach for the camaraderie of the dinner ride. The really big group caused a little seating confusion. Over all, though the kids waiting on us did well. The food was very good, and the margarita was potent as well. It was good to see some faces that aren't at every club function. Lately, it also seems like we have had a lot of visitors from up North; that's always groovy. I think it also is a very positive thing to note that we are a group who makes our ladies feel as welcome as our guys. Well it is time to finish packing for Daytona. I miss you all already..T
February 13, 2010 Saturday - 14 members of BK-FL XVII Truck and Motorcycle Club (more trucks then motorcycles) met at CMS on this cold, wet morning for the breakfast ride. We went to the Fireplace Family Restaurant. We had Wayne without his bride as well as the Branam brothers. Gary, Joe E., the Coxes, Fred, Peter B., Peter D., Ron, Vic, and of course Brucie and me. We all were happy with our food, the prices and the company we were in. The only real complaint was service was kind of slow. They did not try to serve it all at one time though that was groovy. The ride home in the car on 19 was a nerve racking experience. Hope you all are busy smooching with your sweeties or cranky old farts which ever you have! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!! XXXOOO
February 6, 2010 Saturday - 14 members met at CMS on what was a partly cloudy somewhat windy morning for the breakfast ride. We were joined by a visiting BK from Ontario on her trike. It was decided to go to Ted's in Largo (home of the Garbage Omelet), the call was made to see if they could handle us and we were advised "no problem". Gary led us on the half hour ride over, when we arrived the restaurant had the entire front of the place reserved for us. The servers took our drink and food orders, which as always came out quickly and excellent. We were joined a the restaurant by Wayne, who brought our total to 15. After the great breakfast everyone headed out to do their own thing. Til next time--
